I'd like to let you know that you have restored my faith in contractors! The deck replacement job you did on our house was done in a very timely and consistent manner. Workers were here when they said they'd be and the job was done when you said it would be. That is a rarity nowadays. The appearance of our deck is beautiful and very professional in all aspects. Even when I had questions about the material and the time frame you always took my calls and didn't act like you were being put out of your way to do so. The workmanship is wonderful. There were no corners skipped at all. We have had many compliments about the appearance of the deck and so many questions about who did it and whether we could recommend our contractors to them. In 2008, I started a rather large addition to our secondary home in Stonington in preparation for making it our primary home. I planned to do most of the work myself however in the Fall/Winter season, with weather making it difficult to accomplish much, the holidays right around the corner and a contract of sale on our primary residence, I suddenly found myself in need of the services of a builder to complete the framing, and get my structure closed to the weather so that I could continue making progress on the mechanical work that lay ahead.
 

I found myself at a huge disadvantage for several reasons:
1) Since we are not from this area, being unfamiliar with the reputation of the contractors I contacted.
2) I needed the work done in a hurry
3) This expenditure was not in my original budget
 

After contacting 3 or 4 builder/contractors, Ted Mish (TM Builders) was the first to return my call, showed not only a great understanding of what I wanted to accomplish but also expressed enthusiasm for working with me and getting it done in a timely manner. Ted sat down with me to review the drawings/plans I had, made a couple suggestions to improve upon my ideas, and solved one issue I had regarding the placement of a staircase. He then was very prompt with returning an estimate/proposal which I found to be very competitive despite my circumstance.
 

With great confidence, we contracted with TM Builders to do our project, and are very glad we did. We got exactly what we expected, and a little bit more. There were no hidden surprises or price creep at the end, so common in projects of this type. Ted's crews worked in a very professional manner, were on site every day that weather permitted until the sun went down, did not waste material, and respected our home throughout the process. In fact, I don't believe they ever stepped foot inside the existing portion of our home! Our project was completed on time, and on budget, and turned out fantastic. They turned what could have easily been a negative experience into a pleasure. We highly recommend TM Builders for all your contracting needs.

I recently contracted with T.M. Builders for a new roof on my home at 102 Mitchell St in Groton, and am very pleased with the results. The job was fairly extensive, involving stripping 3 layers of old shingles, new plywood, flashing, ridge vent and new 30 yr architectural shingles. The roofing crew was prompt and very efficient. What would have easily been a 3 or 4 day project, was accomplished in just 2 long (10 ½ hr) days. Their proficiency and attention to detail are quite evident in the finished product. The lawn and driveway were thoroughly picked up and raked or swept at the end of each day, and the price was very competitive.
 

Based on my experience, I would highly recommend T.M. Builders for any contemplated home improvement project.
